Cup-filling Weekend

Greetings and Salutations! Oddly enough, this Monday seems to be going pretty well. It's still afternoon, so we'll see what happens. This weekend was a cup-filling weekend.

This last few days were so needed and cup-filling in different ways. I was able to spend time with my siblings, my chosen family, my friends, and, obviously, the cats. Well, not Lucy: she and Nala are having a tiff.

On Thursday, I had family dinner with some of my chosen family and got to build Lego-things with my best Bean. I even got to read her a story.

On Friday, I had drinks with my PLP and another rad human we haven't gotten to visit with in a while (yay kid sleepovers!).

On Saturday, I got to help with logistics and moral support for the party planners of a community event this week. I went to a sportsball game for a rad kiddo I have known since he was a little dude. He is no longer little, and is, instead, taller than I am, not including his hair.

Sunday, I got to nap with the kitties, after they woke me up at 6am because they missed me. I also got to spend some much-needed time with my brother and SIL.  Lots of laughter, some tears, and definitely wine.

When I look at this list of wonderful things I was able to do over the last four days, and the people I was able to do them with, it reminds me that even though there are rough spots and things at work or at home that don't always go the way I might want them to, I am beyond blessed.

If you're having a Monday-y Monday and still have the spoons for it, take a minute and think about one thing from the last few days that made you smile, laugh, or just brought you a moment of peace. Sometimes, it makes the rough spots a little easier.
